The Sarteneja Community Library officially opened its doors on December 15, 2015, bringing a new educational and cultural resource to the village of Sarteneja. From its establishment, the library has played an important role in promoting literacy and learning within the community. Mrs. Yanci Durantes was appointed as the first community librarian and continues to serve in this role, guiding the library’s growth and programs.
The facility can accommodate up to 35 persons, providing a comfortable space for reading, studying, and small group activities. Conveniently located within the village, the library is accessible to students, families, and community members who wish to expand their knowledge and make use of its resources.
Beyond lending books, the Sarteneja Community Library supports the community through educational programs, after-school assistance, and activities designed to foster creativity and lifelong learning. It remains a valuable hub for knowledge and development, enriching the lives of residents and strengthening the community’s commitment to education.
