For nearly 25 years, the August Pine Ridge Community Library operated from within the local community center. A significant milestone was reached when land was officially granted to the Belize National Library Service and Information System (BNLSIS), allowing for the establishment of a dedicated library facility.
On September 11, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., a new library building was officially inaugurated in August Pine Ridge Village, situated conveniently beside the Health Center. This modern structure, while primarily designed for storage, provides a welcoming space that can comfortably accommodate 25 children or 15 adults.
The library has been under the dedicated leadership of Mrs. Paulita Reneau, who has served as the Community Librarian for 18 years, guiding its growth and continued service to the community.
